I'M BACK!!! and I'm talking inaugural fashion at the desk at NY1 News, with our very own Kristen Shaughnessy!
On January 20th 2017, Donald J. Trump was sworn in as the 45th president of the United States. With all the pomp and circumstance surrounding the day, I had to talk about the fashion!!
We saw Melania Trump make her first appearance as the FLOTUS, dressed in a baby blue Ralph Lauren mock turtleneck dress, coupled with a criss cross cropped jacket (say that 10x fast!). Her look was reminiscent of Jackie Kennedy's 1961 inaugural ensemble.
We also saw former FLOTUS, NY Senator, Secretary of State & most recently Democratic Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton, also in Ralph Lauren, sporting her signature pant suit, in white giving props to the suffragette movement.
Finally we have Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway, looking very patriotic in a red white and blue Gucci coat. As per "the internets", this look was a hit for some and a miss for others.
