New York Fashion Week hack!!

Its New York Fashion Week Folks!!!GET EXCITED!!!!I know I'm a day late and a dollar short with this information, but its not too late...yet.

So you wanna do fashion week, but your coin purse is a little bare? Here are my three fave ways to get all New York Fashion Week-ish with 0 to little budget.

Eventbrite will be your BFF this week! If you search fashion shows, you get at least 30 pages of possible shows to attend. Unfortunately not everything on the list is an actual fashion show, but a lot of them are. Settle in and sift through the list to find something that tickles your fancy and that's also pocket friendly. Keep in mind not all of the shows will be from top designers like DVF or Alexander Wang. There's no shame in attending a show of an up and coming designer, someday you might be able to say, you knew them when...

Now, if your coin purse runneth  over, feel free to peruse the same list, prices to get into some of these shows go from $0 to outrageous numbers like $36,000!!!

If you're a blogger or you write for some publication or work at a TV station, you can request press credentials, but it might be too late for that...but you won't know if you don't ask.

Finally there is always the standing room only option at shows big or small just be sure to arrive at the venue early to get in line.

No matter what route you go, be sure to dress the part! Here are some timeless looks that'll have everyone thinking you belong. I chose these looks 'cause they're airy, its gonna be hot in NYC this week, so you want to be comfortable...we don't want anyone passing out like the models at the Kanye West fashion Show!!

Fashion Faves

Every fashionista has a "fashionspiration", someone whose style serves as inspiration to spring board their own style. Here are some my real life "Fashionspirations" (in no particular order) These ladies are intelligent, leaders & fashionable. I'm not just inspired by their brains and boss prowess but of course their fashion sense. I've tried to emulate some of their looks with a Nay twist!! If you don't already know who they are, look them up and see how they SLAY!!

Me Myself & Fashion

Zara Dress/ Aldo Jewelry
It's funny (to me) that I'm dedicating time to writing a fashion blog... I have a vivid memory of a fifth grade me fooling with the idea of color blocking. A classmate took it upon herself to inform me that I didn't match. Little did she know, that color blocking would be a huge trend! The way I look at it, I'm fashion forward!

I'm Naomi Yané, NY1 traffic reporter by day, NYC fashionista on a budget by later that day! I like fashion, travel, travel fashion, affordable fashion, brunch fashion & my yorkie Charlie.

I hope you enjoy following my blog and that you'll tell someone that knows someone that knows someone to tell!

Let's Play Dress Up!
